Orcas
Marineland has had many orcas come through their facility. The famous Keiko (more commonly known as the star of Free Willy) has lived and performed at MLC. Marineland currently has 3 orcas. Kiska is the oldest at over thirty years. The second is Kiska's daughter, Athena, a young female. In cooperation with Seaworld Orlando, Florida, Marineland attained a young male, named Ikaika. Ikaika is on a permanent trade from Seaworld. In return four of Marineland's captive born Beluga whales were sent to Florida. It is hoped that Ikaika will breed with Kiska and Athena.
